Date / Location
The 2008 Wiffle Up! World Finals will take place Saturday, September 27th at Cantiague Park in Hicksville, NY located in Nassau County on Long Island. The park plays host to two (2) Wiffle Up! Regional events each summer. In addition to three (3) lighted softball fields, Cantiague Park also features 5 tennis courts, a nine (9) hole golf course, Driving Range, Mini Golf, 3 Basketball Courts, 4 Multi Purpose Fields (Soccer, Football, Lacrosse, Rugby) and Ice Skating Rink.
Who's Qualified for the 2008 World Finals
Format
The World Finals will be Bracket play format. All teams will be guaranteed three (3) games. All teams with 3-0, 2-1 and the 3rd place team in bracket will advance to a Single Elimination Round Bracket against other division winners. Teams will be seeded according to W-L record, head to head play and run differential. The highest (ranked) seed team will have the option of being Home or Away. Teams will compete in either a FAST PITCH or MEDIUM PITCH format.

Entry Fees

$100 per team if entry is received on or before Friday, September 19th

$120 per team if entry is received after September 19th, 2008
Deadline For Entry
All entry forms MUST be received by Thursday, September 25th at 11pm EST. Payment will not be accepted after this date. Absolutely NO onsite registration.
World Finals Pairings
The pairing for the 2008 Wiffle Up! World Finals will be announced 9am EST on September 26th. All team captains will be notified via email with their tournament schedule.
Roster
World Final rosters must consist of a minimum of two (2) players from your original qualifying roster. Teams may add one (1) additional player to their original roster for the World Finals. NOTE: For the World Finals players may be on one (1) roster only and are not eligible to play in both formats.
Directions
LI Expressway to Exit 41 South (Hicksville - Rt 106/107). Take right at end of ramp, past shopping mall, bear right on Rt. 106 to first traffic light, take right onto West John Street, to fourth traffic light. Take right into Cantiague Park.
Hotel Accommodations
We are currently working with some area hotels on a special Wiffle Up! rate for September 26th and 27th, 2008
Major Airports
JFK and LaGuardia Airports are approximately 30-40 minutes from Cantiague Park.
